Mini Monster Eyeball Cupcakes DIY

Countdown to Halloween is totally on! For simple and cute cupcakes to bring to work or school on Halloween day, you can slam together these hairy eyeball cupcakes in no time flat!

You'll need some colourful cupcake liners (I used orange) and a piping bag fitted with a multi-opening tip and filled with a bright colourful buttercream colour. I also made simple eyeballs from fondant and some mini sharp "teeth", too. Find the full monster cupcakes DIY over on my post on Craftsy!

These guys could totally be the weird offspring to my mutant bunny cake DIY I made for Handmade Charlotte, too!

Happy baking, pals!

Scaredy Cat Cake Topper DIY

Meowrrr! These scaredy cat cake toppers are simple to make and super cute, too - and they will instantly Halloween-ize your cupcakes or cake. Bake some cupcakes in orange liners, or plunk one of these cat toppers in a simple store bought cake and your Halloween party is all set in the blink of a cat's eye.

Find the whole scaredy cat cake topper tutorial over at my guest post on Poppytalk!

So what about you... Do you have any Halloweeny plans or costume ideas? Or are you a Halloween scrooge? Gah, I don't have a costume yet but at least Teddy will have a choice of cute hand me downs from his cousins - pink owl, pink cat or spotty dog? Thinking of laying them down on the floor and letting him choose (ie drool on) his favourite...

See you soon, cake pals!

DIY Paper Plate Animal Mask Party

I created this super cute and easy to make animal mask out of this adorably patterned tableware set from Shop Sweet Lulu. No need for paint and markers when you have a pattern like this! This would be such a fun and easy craft for a youngster's animal themed birthday party, or a last minute mask for Halloween!

Cute, right? Now that your masks are made, why not throw a party? All you is a pretty and simple cake. Let your party decor do the rest!

I also made a simple and cute cat cake topper using some leftover paper plate - punch out a circle using your craft circle punch, draw on a face and adhere some triangles for ears. Attach it to a straw with tape and plunk it straight into your cake. Matching cuteness.

I tried to get Teddy to hold on to the bear mask for a quick picture!

Check out my post on Shop Sweet Lulu here. Thanks Shop Sweet Lulu for sending me the cute tableware set!
