The Coolest Cake Stands, Like, Ever

Gosh, I am really pumped to share with you these cool photos I took of Imm Living's amazeballs cake stands in celebration of their five year anniversary. They are a Canadian design company from Toronto creating "modern cultural artifacts" and their work is pretty, pretty sweet. I am in love with these animal head cake stands - just look at them! What!

Congratulations, guys! Coolest cake stands ever! Check out the Imm Living product line and I dare you not to drool and want to covet like a million things.

Cakes

Happy summer, my beautiful Coco Cake Land friends! I just came back from two weeks on a tiny populated gulf island here in British Columbia. I managed to make one cake while I was there, a no sugar, no dairy banana spelt cake for my now 10 month old Teddy to try! Um, it was gross. I dunno what happened. But that's okay. Because I was on casual times relaxation island with zero percent cares and a hakuna matata attitude.

Aren't these some lovely cakes? A tiny roundup of some cakes from the recent vaults.

Hope everyone's well and good! See ya soon!

Just Rosey: Super Simple Sugar Rose

Hope you enjoyed this photo tutorial! Full instructions can be found over at my post on Craftsy.

Aren't those confetti dots the cutest? Such an easy way to add dotty party times to a blank wall. Simply punch out or cut out some circles in whichever colour scheme you're jamming on and tape up to the wall. Use painter's tape, so your paint won't peel off upon removal. I added some letters to the mix, too! Thanks to Jenny via Julep for the confetti wall inspiration!

Simple Black and White Party + Cake

I love a good black and white colour scheme for a party. It can look totally modern, or in this case: vintage modern! I used a black and white graphic vintage tablecloth from the 1970s (a hand-me-down from my mom) and for display, a cool metal letter E I got from The Land Of Nod

Not only does a vintage-look metal letter look great for parties but you can hang it on your wall or tuck it onto a bookshelf once the party is over for eye-catching and forever-cool decor!

A vanilla buttercream frosted cake gets the sprinkles treatment.

Other simple ways to create unity in a simple color scheme without spending a load of cash? Cake flags made from fancifully designed Japanese washi tape in coordinating colors, and another lovely garland made from two dozen cupcake liners, splayed open and taped along a standard string.

Happy merry making, everyone!

Thank you to Land Of Nod for sending me the awesome metal letters.
